Our Story
In 2020, the COVID-19 pandemic brought widespread pain and disruption, exacerbating racial tensions and other societal challenges.
The escalating crisis led to a rapid increase in anxiety and stress among Mandarin speakers. In response, mindfulness instructors in North America began offering online, non-profit mindfulness-based stress reduction courses. Participants from diverse regions, including North America, Europe, Australia, New Zealand, Singapore, Japan, and China, joined these programs to share practices that help stabilize the body and mind and alleviate anxiety.Amid this unique global situation, the China-Canada Mindfulness Association (CCMA) was founded to provide high-quality learning opportunities and faculty resources tailored to the Mandarin-speaking community. By offering professional mindfulness education in their native language at low cost and with a charitable spirit, CCMA seeks to make mindfulness accessible and impactful for all.
